RACISM LIVING IN MAGAZINES
A challenging issue that is raised within magazines is the underlying dominance of race. Magazines are found to excessively not include a diverse range of culture and ethnicities.
An analysis was carried on the content of bridal magazines throughout 2000-2004 , the results concluded that there had been more than 6,000 ads over the last five years, yet only 70 (less than 2%) of the advertisements actually featured an African American woman as a bride (Frisby, 2006). This only further indicates that bridal magazines are overall homogeneous.
